FANCY DRESS ESSENTIAL!
Magic Potion – PNKSLM Recordings
The Swedish quartet Magic Potion are back with their long-awaited second album Endless Graffiti, the follow-up to their acclaimed debut LP Pink Gum from 2016 and the debut EP Melt from 2015. After first appearing with the “Deep Web” single in early 2015 the band quickly garnered attention from music publications around the world such as Noisey, The FADER, NYLON, The Line of Best Fit and SPIN with their laid-back indie rock sound.
Following the release of Pink Gum the band toured around Scandinavia and Europe, mixing headline tours with support slots for the likes of Chastity Belt, before retreating to their Stockholm studio to work on their second record. Endless Graffiti retains the band’s trademark sound while finding the quartet both expanding their sonic palette and upping their songwriting game, arriving at what will undoubtedly be one of 2018’s strongest indie rock releases.
Holiday Ghosts – PNKSLM Recordings
our favourite rock and roll band featuring some of our favourite members from The Black Tambourines and Red Cords!
Holiday Ghosts is heavily inspired by 60s rock ‘n’ roll as well as the 90s’ dreamy twee pop, with a playful, consequence-lacking mood as a result. And somewhere along, they’ve got something right, because they have captured the smallness of the world in all its delight and all its pain.
Cryptic Street is a four-piece female-led musical riot, ready to rock your patriarchal ears and mess with your brain. They’re serving alternative post-punk madness fresh out of their DIY framework, as they gear up to take over the world from their humble Maltese roots.
Psychedelic Garage Fuzz Punk powerhouse duo.
Johnny and Tim have been emerging from the Brighton DIY punk scene and causing a stir with some delicious noises.
Brighton two piece that are going to get you hot and sweaty under your collar and make you not want to go back to your wife and kids, after fuzzing you up, with their heavy sludge, garage punk.
Back with a double A-sided 7” produced by Theo Verney out on PNKSLM Recordings. Featuring their two strongest tracks yet the 7” shows off Beachtape’s melodic yet fuzzy take on indie rock, straddling the middle ground between hazy beach pop and anthemic guitar pop.
